More Minority Buyers of Properties from Listings of Houses at Auctions
Housing market analysts in Ohio have stated that listings of houses at auctions and other residential properties are likely to gain new buyers as the latest census report showed that a considerable number of Hispanics and Asians have moved to the state in the past ten years. Although Ohio had lost population in some areas, immigrants have increased in others.
The same thing is reportedly happening in other major U.S. metro areas, with Portland home auctions and housing markets in big cities seeing more minority homebuyers in the past few years. In Ohio, the 2010 census report revealed that across areas such as Cleveland and Columbus, the number of Asians and Hispanics have risen during the 2000-2010 period.
Reports also revealed that these are not just ordinary minority families, but are highly-skilled workers who are most likely to have the means to purchase new houses and properties from Ohio home auctions. According to demographers, most of the Asian immigrants who moved into the U.S. in the past 10 years are equipped with specialized skills and advanced academic degrees, with most of them in the hunt for world-class hospitals and schools and, of course, residential homes. In the Cleveland-Akron and Columbus regions, Asian immigrants are joined by highly educated Hispanics.
According to demographers, the flood of immigrants into the Ohio region will provide a much needed boost for the region's housing market as buyers are very much needed to cut down the oversupply of properties at listings of houses at auctions and in non-foreclosed markets. Although the increase in the number of Asian-Americans and Hispanics in Ohio seemed numerically minimal, these newcomers are reportedly key members of business sectors and population centers of the state.
The latest census data showed that 15,000 Asians have moved to Northeast Ohio in the past 10 years, while 32,000 Hispanics were added to the region's population over the same period. Most of the newcomers are said to prefer living in areas such as Cuyahoga County and Cleveland. Most of those who have moved into these communities have expressed belief that Ohio offers a lot of opportunities, particularly in terms of housing and jobs for highly-skilled individuals.
Aside from technology industry workers, Asian and Hispanic students, doctors and scientists have also increased in the area, lured mainly by high profile higher education institutions located in Ohio. Housing market observers believe that these newcomers will be good for the housing market as they are likely to purchase new homes and properties at listings of houses at auctions.
